Margaret L. Price, 87, formerly of Castlewood passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Avalon Nursing Center.
A lifelong resident, Peg was born May 9, 1930 on Harmony Baptist Rd in Castlewood, the daughter of the late Robert and Lula Lutz Newton. She was married for 69 years to Keith E. Price as they were married June 19, 1948. He survives.
Peg graduated from Shenango High School in 1948. She was an active member of the Center United Presbyterian Church. She was also active with the Cub Scouts and TOPS. She enjoyed traveling with the Laurel Travel Club. She cherished time cooking and baking for her family.
In addition to her husband, Keith survivors include two sons, Timothy (Judy) Price of Kent, Ohio, Mark (Debbie) Price of Ellwood City; daughter, Cindy Means of Hermitage; sister, Lois (Charles) Sari of Ellwood City; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Keith and siblings. James and Robert M. Newton and Dorothy Bell Newton Black.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday September 18 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. James Bibza will officiate. Interment will follow in the Center Church Cemetery.
