Rosalindo Morales Jr., a 23-year-old Ellwood City native, reigned champion in his first professional boxing match on Saturday, August 12 at the Rivers Casino, against opponent Adam Young of Memphis, Tennessee.
He won all four rounds unanimously against Young and said he couldn’t have done it without all the local support.
“The fight was incredible and the support I had from everyone from Ellwood was truly amazing and I couldn’t have done it without them,” Morales stated.
His first professional boxing match has been something he’s trained hard for since he started boxing at the young age of 13.
Morales next professional match has not yet been scheduled but he remains hopeful it will be sometime in September.
