Rose G. Nocera, 85

Mrs. Rose G. Nocera, 85, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Mrs. Nocera was born on August 12, 1931 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph L. and Mary Strobel Petrak. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1949, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. A homemaker, Rose enjoyed working on her family’s farm, and watching sports.

Rose is survived by her daughters Ann (John) Clendening of Drexelhill, Pa, Christina (Regis) Winniewicz of Ross Twp., and Noelle Nocera of West Chester, Pa, her sons, Anthony (Laurie) Nocera of Ellwood City, and Mark Nocera and his companion Liz Dripps of Zelienople, her 11 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren, her brother Paul Petrak of Florida, her sisters, Joan Mansell and Jane Petrak both of North Sewickley Twp., her son-in-law Richard Harper of Nashville, TN, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Martin A. Nocera whom she married on June 18, 1949 and passed away on July 11, 1992, her daughter Marie Harper, her sisters, Claire Shirley, Agnes Redenshek, Regina Thompson, and Dr. Margaret Petrak VMD, and her brothers, Lawrence, Joseph, William, Albert Petrak, and Robert Strobel.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday by 9:20 am.

Memorial contributions in Rose’s name may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society.
