Pine Valley Motorcycle Ride

Join Pine Valley Camp for their Motorcycle Ride Event this Saturday at 504 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City.

This is the 4th year that Pine Valley is hosting this motorcycle ride.

The idea to hold this type of fundraiser for the camp came from some of their existing donors who wanted to help raise funds for their rebuild campaign.

“The Rebuild is our capital campaign to raise funding to build several structures desperately needed at camp – a new dining hall, a quad-plex cabin that sleeps 30, a pavillion, and boys’ bath house,” Connie Miller a Rebuild Campaign Administrator at the camp stated.

This event is planned and organized by a small group of volunteers, however, many individuals and organizations work together to make the event a success by lending their support financially or with an in-kind gift, or by volunteering their time to prepare the food or ensure the day runs smoothly.

All proceeds benefit Pine Valley Camp and the monies raised are used to ensure that hurting and at-risk youth can experience time away at camp this summer where they can feel safe, loved, and enjoy time just being a kid.

This is Pine Valley’s 22nd summer of serving youth and faithfully fulfilling their mission of “Rebuilding broken lives through Christ.”  Last summer 700+ kids attended camp at Pine Valley and that number is anticipated again this year.

Additional information about Pine Valley and the program we run can be viewed at our website www.pinevalleycamp.org.

The day will run as follows:

Registration is from 9-10:30 a.m. Riders can also pre-register online via our website (www.pinevalleycamp.org) and be eligible to win a GoPro. Chinese auction items, several raffles and ride T-shirts will be on hand for purchase. Pastries and drinks will be provided.

The riders will leave camp at 11 a.m. and return around 3-3:30p.m. The route will go through the rural roads of Beaver, Lawrence, Butler and Mercer counties.

There will be two stops along the way — the New Castle Harley-Davidson dealer will provide a light lunch, and Wendell August Forge in Grove City will have light refreshments on hand.

When the riders return to camp, a buffet dinner featuring chicken by Muddy Creek BBQ  in Portersville will be served, and the blues band Eugene & the NightCrawlers will provide the musical entertainment. The winners of the many auction items and raffles will then be announced.

Walk-in diners are welcome at $10 each.

The event usually wraps up around 5:30-6 p.m.
