Ellwood City Wolverines Grab Lead in Seventh Inning for Victory Over New Brighton

Ellwood City Wolverines took the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over New Brighton on Monday. The game was tied at two with Ellwood City Wolverines batting in the top of the seventh when Anthony Roth singled off of Debo, driving in one run.

Ellwood City Wolverines captured the lead in the first inning. Mitch Fraser’s sac fly scored one run for Ellwood City Wolverines.

Ellwood City Wolverines knotted the game up at two in the top of the fifth inning. Ellwood City Wolverines scored one run when Jordan Recce doubled with one out in the fifth inning.

Tyler Good earned the win for Ellwood City Wolverines. He went seven innings, surrendering two runs, two hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Debo took the loss for New Brighton. He threw seven innings, allowing four runs, eight hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Cicchinelli Throws Shutout as Riverside Panthers Varsity Defeats South Side

Cristian Cicchinelli didn’t allow a single run as Riverside Panthers Varsity defeated South Side 8-0 on Monday. Cicchinelli allowed just six hits and got Statler to hit into a fielder’s choice to end the game.

Woodling went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead South Side in hits.

 

Riverside Panthers Varsity Softball Jumps Out to Early Lead in Victory Over Beaver Falls

Riverside Panthers Varsity defeated Beaver Falls 13-1 thanks to a strong start. Riverside Panthers Varsity scored on a single by Kaitlinn Bowser, a walk by Marissa Harper, a triple by MaKenzie McElwain, a double by Emily Smalley, and a single by Tori Jacobs in the first inning.

Riverside Panthers Varsity secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the first inning. Riverside Panthers Varsity scored on a single by Kaitlinn Bowser, a walk by Marissa Harper, a triple by MaKenzie McElwain, a double by Emily Smalley, and a single by Tori Jacobs.

Lincoln High Boy’s Tennis Victory

The Lincoln High School Boy’s Varsity Tennis improved their section record to 3-2 with a win over Beaver Falls yesterday.

Trey Houk at first singles and the first doubles team of Zain Ansari and Alex Scott picked up their third win of the season, and Shane Reisinger captured his first win of the season at second doubles.

The Boys next face Neshannock in a section match on Wednesday April 5.
