Ms. Mary E. DeCaria, 85, of Ellwood City, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the Ellwood City Hospital.

Ms. DeCaria was born on June 3, 1931 in Ellwood City to the late James V. and Ruth Perry DeCaria. Mary graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949, and from the Garfield Business College. She had worked at Glover Insurance Agency in Beaver Falls, and Airway Industries as a secretary. Most recently, Mary has been working for the Holy Redeemer Social Services. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Mary was a long time volunteer for the Holy Redeemer Annual Bazaar working in the outside kitchen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.

Mary is survived by her sister, Phyllis Maochi of Ellwood City, her nieces and nephew, Paula (Kevin) Maochi, Valarie (David) Sheldon, and James Maochi, her great nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Lauren Maochi, Emma, Jordan, Jack, and Kate Sheldon, and numerous close and loving cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Paul Maochi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Holy Redeemer Church. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Holy Redeemer Mausoleum.

Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church by 12:50 pm to form an honor guard. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:20 pm. Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to the Holy Redeemer Social Services.
