March/April Activities at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls

Saturday, March 4th, it’s Science With Seuss 11am-12:30pm.  Pre K to 2nd graders are invited to Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, explore, create and have fun.  The Franklin Center will be on hand with a STEM Station, HeadStart and Pre-K Counts will have a literacy games and skills station, create a Seuss Make and Take and enjoy the Scavenger Hunt, designed to use a series of clues to lead parent and child from one location to the next.  The program will include a fun snack.  Registration required.  Call the library to register at 724.846.4340.

Maker Mondays are the 1st and 3rd Monday of Month   March 6th and March 20th 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Scratch Programming for 1st to 3rd graders and Design and Tinker for children in preschool to 1st grade
Registration recommended

Block Parties are the 1st Tuesday of Month 10:30-11:30.  Drop-in program for Pre-K -Kindergarten age children designed to offer free play and block building challenges

Maker Mornings Feb 25th Recycled Robots, March 4th Science with Seuss,  April 22nd Make and take Bird House and May 6th Cardboard challenge from 1:30 to 3:30pm  Registration required

Stories With Steam Story Time March 1st, 8th, and 15th  10:30 to 11:30 preschoolers ages 3 to 5.  The Theme this Spring is Explore Our World.  Register by calling the library at 724.846.4340   work stations to explore steam concepts

PA One Book Author Visit at the Mall   April 4th   5:30 to 7:30pm   Location Center

Author Micha Archer will be visiting Beaver County at the Mall.  Daniel Finds A Poem is the Pa One Book Selection for 2017.  Listen to the Story, Meet the author, Play and Discover activities to experience.  Every family who attends will receive a copy of the book Daniel Finds a Poem. 

PA One Book at the Library—April 29th, Poetry Party for children Preschool to Kindergarten at 11am.  Every family who attends will receive a copy of the book Daniel Finds a Poem.  Registration Required.
