Join the Ellwood City Area Historical Society and the Ellwood City Community in honoring Hack Wilson – a baseball legend born in Ellwood City in 1900, who rivaled the mighty Babe Ruth.
His 1930 statistics included the “unbreakable” record of 191 runs batted in a National League leading 56 home runs (a record that stood for 68 years), .356 batting average, and a league-leading .723 slugging percentage.
