bradBradley S. Grinnen, 21, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Waynesburg University.

Bradley was born on November 5, 1995 in Ellwood City to Deanna Sberna and John Grinnen. He had graduated from the Holy Redeemer Elementary School, and Lincoln High School with the class of 2014 where he was a standout football player and wrestler. Presently, Brad was in his junior year at Waynesburg University majoring in Business and playing football as a defensive lineman. He also was serving on the Leadership Council for the football team. In 2012 he won the MAC Wrestling Championship and in 2014 he became a state qualifier. In the 2016 football season he made the first team all PAC. In his spare time Brad was an avid weight lifter.

Bradley is survived by his mother Deanna Sberna of Ellport, his father and step-mother, John (Susan) Grinnen of Wampum, his maternal grandparents, Tim and Joanne Sberna of Big Beaver Boro, his paternal grandparents, Rick (Linda) Grinnen of Wampum, his paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Crespo of New Galilee, his step-grandmother, Patty Stillwagon of Slippery Rock, his sister, Saylee Grinnen, and his brothers, Ryder Grinnen and AJ Grinnen all of Wampum. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-9 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the Holy Redeemer Church. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday by 9:20 am. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bradley’s name may be made to his parents and will be used to establish a scholarship in his name.
