Pertile TeddyDelores “Teddie” Pertile 86 of River Rd., North Sewickley Twp. passed away at Northview Estates on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Born in Ellwood City on October 13, 1930, Teddy was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Hulick Dukas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Tony” Pertile on March 15, 2012.  They were married on June 28, 1952.  Teddie worked for Western Union for many years as a manager and finished her career there as a personal sales rep.  She later worked at Ann’s Consignment Shop in Koppel.  Teddie was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and the former Queen of Heaven Parish in Koppel where she was a member of Christian Mothers and always helped at their annual spaghetti dinners.  Teddie was well known for her participation in founding the Ellwood City Women’s Softball League.  She was an all-star pitcher for McDowell’s team.  In 1984 after she retired from playing she coached in the Riverside Girls Youth Softball League for many years.  Teddie consistently placed among the top ten women bowlers in Ellwood City and enjoyed bowling until age 83.
Teddie is survived by her two children, Lou and Terry Pertile of DelRay Beach, FL and Joni and Cy Saba of Ellwood City, a sister, Shirley Nardone of Koppel, 4 granddaughers, Erin McClean, Brande Gonzalez, Shannon Hockenberry and Carlee Vermeulen, 5 great grandchildren, Charlee, Chase, Jeffrey, Jadyn and Sawyer.
Besides her parents and husband, Teddie was preceded in death by a brother, Allan “Buddy” Dukas, a great grandson, Finn Anthony Houk and a brother-in-law, Nick Nardone.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday at 10 AM by Fr. Zachary Galiyas.  Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Teddie will be best remembered for the love she gave to all who knew her.  The center of her life was her family and the many friends who loved her in return.
