Sheridan “Rod” Rodgers, 63

Sheridan “Rod” Rodgers Jr. 63, of North Sewickley Twp went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 26, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife Susan Rodgers.

Rod was born August 26,1953 in Ellwood City, the son of the late Sheridan and Marilyn Fosnaught Rodgers.

Rod graduated from Riverside High School in 1971. He was employed by The Culligan Company for 31 years.

Rod was known as the “Legend” because of his exceptional skills in turkey and deer hunting.  He was an avid fly fisherman and you could usually find him in the woods or the stream pursuing his passions.  He also loved organic gardening, and he believed that if you can’t catch it, kill it, or grow it – you shouldn’t eat it !

In addition to his wife Susan, Rod is survived by step daughters; Anjelica, Lisa, and Amy; sisters, Alexis Vahanian and Jill Maddox; brother, Scott Rodgers; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be greeted in heaven by his dear Uncle Bill.

Visiting hours will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City on Tuesday January 31 from 2 to 5 pm with a memorial service starting at 5 pm. Pastor Zack Blair of Hill City Church in Robinson Twp. will officiate.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hill City Church. in care of Zack and Lauren Blair, P.O. Box 81 Zelienople, PA 16063, to help provide unfortunate youth with hunting and fishing adventures.
