Meth Lab Discovered in Ellwood

According to the criminal complaint, on November 23 officers were dispatched to Smokin Dave’s Barbecue in reference to the owner having three suspicious persons exit a vehicle and walk toward railroad property carrying assorted bags.

The officer made contact with one of the individuals, April Squires, 34, of Summit Ave., who was walking away from several of the bags left in the alleyway of North and Franklin, and asked her what was going on. She stated that she had got a ride from the other two individuals and she was now walking home.

The officer located a black box in one of the bags which contained personal property to Squires and a new box of Sudafed. Squires admitted that the narcotic kit in the bag was hers and that there was methamphetamine in the foil. The kit also included syringes, a spoon, and cotton balls.

One of the other individuals, Jordan Dimuccio, was located and arrested with Squires because he had an active warrant for his arrest.

Squires advised the officers that she uses meth with Mr. Lordo Jr., who lives on Johnston Dr. and she further stated that he makes meth in his garage.

Officers went to Lordo’s residence where the front door was wide open and officers could view open syringes, Coleman fuel cans, lithium batteries, heating elements, and items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Lordo said he has a drug problem and he makes and uses meth in the garage. Lordo was advised by officers that they would be applying for a search warrant.

Squires is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance for this instance and is further facing another count of possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident that occurred in July.

Family Faces Drug Related Charges

According to the criminal complaint, three family members will be facing charges related to possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

On Sept. 16, an officer was patrolling the area of Pittsburgh Circle when he noticed Amanda Hasan, 26, of Pittsburgh Circle, on the front porch of her residence. The officer was aware of Hasan’s outstanding warrant for her arrest and stopped at the residence, making contact with Korrie Hasan, 22, of Pittsburgh Circle, who advised that Amanda was in the residence.

As Korrie approached the front door of the residence to enter, the officer observed Amanda through the glass, run toward the back of the house, prompting the officer to jump of the side of the porch and run to the rear of the residence to make contact with Amanda.

While the officer took Amanda into custody for her warrant, the other officer at the scene completed a protective sweep of the residence after contacting the home owner and getting written consent to search the property.

  1. This child, yes she is a child, is obviously suffering from Heroin Addiction. Where is the “Warm Hand Off” the DA promised to get these kids help? Seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors to me. Now she will be subject to heavy fines and a police record, limiting her ability to get clean and get a job. Where the hell is Anthony Court in all of this? These are the children of his community. He seems more interested in getting his people in front of WPXI for publicity. He has ruined Ellwood City with his incompetence. I hope he does run again. He will be in for a rude awakening.

  2. PS Promethazine is a schedule 5 allergy and motion sickness medicine. This is what the ECPD does. They pile it on to make themselves look relevant.

John Anderson – was Tracy Hasan charged with possessing the Promethazine? No! It clearly states only Korrie, Amanda and Kasey are being charged, so to me it does not look as though ECPD is piling it on.

Maybe you should clearly read the article before you start throwing digs at the Mayor and ECPD.
