Patricia R. Owens, 83 of Northview Estates passed away at her residence on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:23 PM.
Pat was born on July 14, 1933 to the late Loyal and Ruth Romack. She married Sherwood Schlemmer in 1951 who passed away in 1957. She later married Francis Owens in 1964 who passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ellen Owens in 1975. Pat retired from the Ellwood City Hospital in 2007 after 23 years of service. She previously worked at Camp Kon-O-Kwee for 8 years. Pat was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church and the AARP. She was an devoted Steeler and Pirate Fan. Pat enjoyed life to its fullest. Prior to her moving to Northview she belonged to Silver Sneakers, enjoyed gardening, traveling with her friends and spending time at her pool. She was always a happy person who’s smile would light up a room.
Pat is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Stacey and Jim Litter of Franklin Twp. and Patty and Bill Metzger of Portersville.
In addition to her parents, husbands and daughter Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Rough Sommers in 2004.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 AM by her pastor, Rev. Sean Brubaker. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northview Estates and Kindred Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion they gave Pat.
