Cheryl A. “Sherri” Craven Hampton, 55

Cheryl A. “Sherri” Craven Hampton, 55, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 in her residence.

Cheryl was born on May 4, 1961 in Ellwood City to Robert G. and Carolyne D. Boy Craven of Perry Twp. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1979. She had worked at the former McDowell’s Hotel in Ellwood City as a waitress for six years. Since 2003 Cheryl has worked at Costco in Cranberry Twp., first as a cashier and most recently as a greeter. She enjoyed gardening, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents, her two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Kristen) Hampton of Gibsonia, and Brad (Samantha) Hampton of Ellwood City, her two grandchildren, Chase Hampton and Conor Hampton, her brother, Randall Craven of Wayne Twp., and her nieces and nephews, Tarah (Jason) Hardie, Natasha (Lane) Bruster, and Robert (Megan) Craven.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Craven, and her brother, Robert Craven.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A private service for Cheryl will be held on Monday for the family in the funeral home with Rev. R. Tod Custer officiating. Internment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
