Ellwood Flag at Half-Mast in Respect for Victims of Orlando Shooting

The Ellwood City Municipal Building flag is held at half mast today in respect for the victims of the Orlando shooting yesterday. A shooter killed at least 50 people and wounded 53 others at a gay nightclub Sunday morning.

The gunmen, Omar Mateen, was American-born and pledged allegiance to ISIS before the attack. Mateen was killed by a SWAT team.

Ellwood City joins the rest of the nation and communities around the world in solidarity against violent extremism.
