Two Graduates Receive Corona D’Italia Scholarships

Jordan Dobbin, a senior at Canon-McMillan High School of Canonsburg, Pa. was awarded a $500 Corona D’Italia Memorial Scholarship in honor of her academic achievement and community involvement.

Her eligibility was based on her grandfather, Herman D’Amico being a member of the Sons of Italy #608. She plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania to study Social Deviance. Her parents are Thomas and Amy (D’Amico) Dobbin of Cannonsburg and her grandparents are Herman and Jane D’Amico of Ellwood City.

MaeilliLincoln High School senior Christopher B. Maielli was awarded a $500 Corona D’Italia #807 Memorial Scholarship in honor of his academic achievement and community involvement. The son of John and Lori Maielli, Jr. his eligibility for the award was based on the Sons of Italy #608 membership of his grandfather John Maielli, Sr.

His plan is to attend the University of Dayton to study Marketing. He is the grandson of John and Arlene Maielli, Sr. and Tom and Gloris Heckendorn all of Ellwood City.
