National Day of Prayer to Be Observed Today in Ellwood

“Wake Up America” is the theme of the annual Ellwood City National Day of Prayer observance at noon today in the Community Plaza on Lawrence Avenue.

Special music will precede the program at 11:45 a.m., presented by Matt Reynolds of Word Alive Church.

This is the 65th annual National Day of Prayer.

Planned program speakers include:

  • State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-10, Franklin Township, greeting and pledge
  • Janelle Fox, a Lincoln High School student, national anthem
  • the Rev. Cliff Reynolds, Word Alive Church, prayer for government
  • the Rev. Sean Brubaker, Calvin Presbyterian Church, prayer for business
  • the Rev. Chad Bogdewic, Wurtemburg United Methodist Church, prayer for churches
  • the Rev. Ray Medina, Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church, prayer for education
  • the Rev. Phil Conklin, First Church of God, prayer for family
  • the Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, prayer for the military
  • the Rev. Tod Custer, Christ Presbyterian Church, prayer for emergency responders
  • the Rev. Patricia Cleary, First United Methodist Church, prayer for healthcare professionals
