Mayor Proclaims Second Annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day in Ellwood City

Mayor Anthony J. Court was honored to proclaim Friday, May 6, 2016 as the second annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day in Ellwood City.

The presentation was made to Joe Venasco, the Director of the Lawrence County Mental Health/Development Services. Many activities are planned for the celebration at the Albert Gettings Annex Building in New Castle.

“Addressing the complex mental health needs of children, youth and families today is fundamental to the future of Ellwood City and Pennsylvania,” the proclamation reads. “The Lawrence County System of Care, through its unique approach to serving children and adolescents, is effectively caring for the mental health needs of children, youth and families in our community.”
