Pudue La Cava hosted the 1954 Lincoln High School “Life is a Beach” committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home on Thursday, April 14 at 4 p.m.
The session began with a luncheon provided by committee members Ann Amadio, Ilene Gardner, Jan Keenan, Clemmy Sirimarco and LaCava and served by LaCava and Gardner.
Gardner conducted the business session that followed. Sirimarco presented the financial reports and updated all the fundraising activities. Tickets for April were distributed and are available by contacting LaCava or Sirimarco. Gardner reported on mailings and correspondences received from class members. LaCava updated reservations received, noting that the response has been 55% of last year’s attendance.
Keenan and Gardner advised on the photography that will be available at the event. Keenan is the chairman of the fashion show to be held at the Day Spring Ministries site benefiting the Ellwood Art Club and invited all to consider attending. Gardner presented an overview of her planned decor for the July 16 event and the coordinating menu. She also reminded that dress is beach casual and prizes will be awarded for decorated beach hats.
The session ended with selecting Thursday, may 12 for the next committee meeting and will be held at the LaCava residence at 4 p.m.
