Mary Kathryn Fosnot, 97, of Wampum passed away March 31, 2016 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, Pa. She is no longer wondering why she is still here on Earth as she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus in Heaven.
Mary was born in Chewton on May 2, 1918 to the late Charles and Essie Mayberry Tillia. She was married for 49 years to Russell S. Fosnot who passed away June 25, 1987.
She was an active member of the Wampum United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by a brother, Frank Tillia and his wife Mary; daughter in-law Susan Fosnot; six grandchildren and their spouses- Kevin and Lisa Burgess, Billy and Barbie Burgess, Kristine and Eric Breindel, Wade and Darci Fosnot, Kim and Tim Kennedy, Scott and Tabi Fosnot; thirteen great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Alec Burgess, Blake and Brianna Burgess, Shawn and Bridgette Breindel, Meg, Will and Max Fosnot, Lacie and Nathan Kennedy, Alayna and Alyssa Fosnot, and many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, two sons William and Wayne Fosnot, and two brothers, Eugene and William Tillia.
Visitation will be at Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be at funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Todd Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Park Cemetery in New Castle.
