Mayor Swears in Newest full time Patrol Officer

It was with great pride that Mayor Anthony J. Court swore into office the newest hired full time patrol officer for Ellwood City’s police force, Jonathan Fauzey.

Fauzey will work side by side with a veteran officer of the force to enhance his skills while upholding the integrity of the entire Department.

Fauzey was hired during the January Ellwood City Borough council meeting.

  1. I would like to see the test scores of this new officer compared to other applicants that were passed over! The majority of folks in and around the Ellwood areas also know that this particular officer is also related to one of the council members, gee wonder how he made his way in after scoring way lower than other applicants! This should never been allowed to happen but its not how much you know, but rather who you know! This new officer also already had a full time job as a police officer but yet was handed this position over others who were part time and needed a full time job!!! I really think this matter needs to be looked at from a legal stand point as well as the members of council that pushed this through by doing a favor for another member who happens to be related! Very corrupt!!!!

  2. I am sure in no way shape or form did having a relative on council help in any way!!!! In a few years I guess it wont matter because they will all be out of jobs and the burden of high salaries and huge amounts of overtime will be lifted.
