As the Ellwood City Relay For Life starts its 2016 year, we are in search of individuals that are outstanding in working with the community to lead our committee to greater rewards than in years past. Even if you have just a few moments in your busy schedule, we could use your guidance and knowledge. Openings are in the areas of Chairperson, Sponsorship, Team recruitment, Chinese Auction, Logistics and Survivors. You are invited to join us at our committee meetings to learn more about these openings and other places your service can be helpful contact. Where to find Ellwood City Relay For Life
We are hard at work making ourselves more visible in the community. You will find us at Light Up Night on December 4, 2015. A tree will be decorated during the Christmas in the Park activities, so look for it as you enjoy the festival of lights at Ewing Park. Relay For Life Kick-Off will be on January 16, 2015. We will be holding a paint party from 2 to 4 p.m., site will be announced at a later date. Our theme this year is: “Paint Your World Purple!” so stop in at our next event leadership meeting and give us your ideas on how to decorate for Relay on June 11, 2016 at Helling Stadium.
Paint Your World Purple: Paint and Sip Kick-Off Party
Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 2:30 to 4 p.m.
By request we are having another paint party at Vinny’s on 620 Beaver Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m. Our leader this year will be local artist Steve Totin. He will walk us through the steps to create a one of a kind picture. No need to be embarrassed- everyone’s eye is different when looking at images, and it’s fun to see the different takes on the same image. This is not only for Relay Teams. The public is welcomed to join us for a little fun and socializing. There will be a $10 charge at the door and a cash bar for drinks.
