The Ellwood City wrestling team defeated Central Valley 37 to 24 in an away match on Wednesday, Dec. 9
In the decisive matches, Sophomore Tyler Baird won a 10-2 decision over Michael Caponera, and junior Tyler Alberts defeated Derrick Knox 5-0.
Nine out of the 14 matches were decided by forfeits, making the contested matches all the more important.
The Wolverines host Laurel and Beaver for a section tri-match on Dec. 16.
