Charles C. “Chuck” Landolfi

Charles C. “Chuck” Landolfi, 68, of Ellwood City went to be with his loving savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and “The Boys.”

Chuck was born on April 14, 1947 in Ellwood City to the late Dominick L. and Angela “Lena” Adamo Landolfi. Chuck graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965 and was the first athlete from Lincoln High School to have his football jersey number retired. Chuck wore the number 48 while playing for the Fighting Wolverines. Chuck still holds many of the schools football rushing records. He was chosen to play in the Big 33 game in Hershey, Pa. on Aug. 14, 1965.

Chuck also graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1969 with a degree in Education. He was a member of the 1966 National Championship Team at Notre Dame. He was inducted into the Lawrence County Hall of Fame in April of 1995. He had taught and coached football at the Monaca High School for a number of years, and later was employed as a computer programming consultant until he retired. Chuck is also a member of the Sons of Italy #608, the Connoquenessing Country Club, and the Alumni Club of Notre Dame.

Chuck is survived by his daughter; Marion (Mark) Ward of Pittsburgh, his son; Charles “CJ” Landolfi of Zelienople, his four grandchildren; Trinity, Samuel, and Esther Ward, and Makenzie Landolfi, his two sisters; Rosaline (Raymond) Pratt of Ellwood City, and Melinda (Fred) Macioge of Concord, North Carolina, one nephew and godson; Dominick Macioge of Huntersville, NC, three nieces; Angela (John) Horgan of Ellwood City, goddaughter April Anthony of New Castle, and Danielle Macioge of Concord, NC.

He is also survived by his “Lady” Carol Baker of Ellwood City, and the mother of his children; Roseann Barber of Indianapolis, Ind., and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Zachary Galiyas officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 10:20 a.m.

Mr. Landolfi’s family would like to thank Dr. Arjun Pennathur for his professional care and personal relationship with Chuck. Also all the doctors and staff on TICU 5th floor at UPMC Montifiore Hospitsl, and all the prayers and messages received from all of his loving friends and family.

    Sorry to hear about Chuck I grew up on Wayne Avenue next door to him. His Mother Lena would always make a big dish of her great Pasta and meatballs and send next door to us. May he Rest in Peace
