Police: Theft and Drug Possession

Stolen Items

  • According to the police report, on April 11, 2015, Vincent Delboverlando, 18, of Ellwood City, stole an air rifle, valued at $400, from Robert Shaffer. On July 17, Delboverlando made arrangements to sell back the air rifle for $100 in the 7-Eleven parking lot on 201 North St. An undercover office accompanied Shaffer and arrested Delboverlando following the transaction. Delboverlando was charged with theft on Oct. 1.

Drug Possession

  • According to the police report, on Aug. 23 around 8:45 p.m., a state police officer arrived to a residence on Elm Lane, New Beaver Borough, in a response to a report that a male at the residence was highly intoxicated and out of control. The investigating officer found Matthew David Robinson, 23, of Wampum, belligerent and uncooperative. The officer observed a marijuana grinder and marijuana seeds on a table next to Robinson. Robinson reported that the items were his and was transported to the Lawrence County Jail. On Oct. 8, Robinson was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Theft of Services

  • According to the police report, on Oct. 6 around 1 p.m., an officer arrived to Nido’s Beauty Salon on 424 Lawrence Ave. in response to a theft of services. The owner, Peggy Nido, reported that an employee witnessed a female throw several bags of garbage into Nido’s dumpsters. The employee reported the license plate, allowing police to identify the vehicle’s owner as Debra Mulig, 57, of Lawrence Avenue. On April 7, the employee picked Mulig’s photograph out of a lineup. Mulig was charged with theft of services.
