Ellwood City Vapors Offers Alternative to Smoking

Ellwood City now has its own electronic cigarettes store. Ellwood City Vapors, located on 505 Lawrence Ave., had its grand opening last Saturday.

The grand opening, sponsored by the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce, featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, cookies, and coffee.

Vapor1Owners David Spielvogel and Robert Infantozzi launched their store by cutting the ribbon at 10 a.m.
Present at the opening was the store’s mascot, Peggy, the owners’ Boston Terrier.

Throughout the morning and afternoon, dozens of customers enjoyed refreshments and the well-furnished atmosphere while having the opportunity to learn about e-cigarettes.

Spielvogel, of Ellwood City, and Infantozzi, of Monaca, married in September, were inspired to start a vapor business while visiting vapor stores on their honeymoon in Hawaii.

The couple believes their knowledge of e-cigarette products and culture, as well as their large friend base in the area, makes them ideal to provide the town with a vapor store.

Vapor4Infantozzi explained that E-cigarettes are for those who enjoy smoking but don’t like the strong taste of tobacco. It is also believed, but not conclusively demonstrated, that E-cigarettes are a far healthier alternative than the regular.

Ellwood City Vapors offers a wide array of kits for both the curious and committed e-cigarette user. Starter kits are cheaper, simpler, and use a refillable tank. More expensive models have adjustable flavor and power settings.

The store also sells advanced, customizable models with elaborate mouthpieces and designs. Infantozzi explained that for some, designing their own e-cigarettes is a hobby.

Infantozzi and Spielvogel are glad to help anyone seeking E-cigarettes as an alternative to smoking. The store will even display a record of how many customers have switched to E-cigarettes.

“The place is beautiful,” Mayor Anthony J. Court said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “We’re happy to have them on board, and I wish them the best of luck. Anything I can do to help, I will.”
